Tender description

The aim of this tender exercise is to establish a Framework Contract to provide construction works or design and construct in connection with Schemes up to a maximum of £3,000,000 in construction value. Please note the PQQ Submission return date of 1500 hours on Wednesday 25 January 2012. Schemes included are as follows – • Bridge / Viaduct / Tunnel / Culvert Works • Sea / River Defences • Earthworks - Embankments & Cuttings • Rock Cuttings • Retaining Structures • Station Platforms The estimated value, excluding VAT, of the Framework Contract is to be circa £8 million over the maximum 4 year contract period (circa £2.0 million per annum). The successful Economic Operators will then be required to tender for the works via mini-competitions as per the Framework Conditions or by cost reimbursement subject to the Framework Conditions. The Framework Contract is to be for a two year duration, extendable to a maximum of four years duration subject to the satisfactory performance of the successful Economic Operators commencing Quarter 1, 2012.
