Tender description

The Authority is looking for a supplier for Central Management and Control Unit (CMCU-2015-20) for the Automatic Urban and Rural Network (AURN). The network provides national monitoring arrangements including those areas covered by Scottish Government, Welsh Government and Department of the Environment in Northern Ireland, collectively known as the Devolved Administrations. However, the contract is let by Defra on behalf of Central Government and the Devolved Administrations. The CMCU is responsible for the management of national network air pollution monitoring sites throughout the UK, the automatic collection and retrieval of data from these sites and forward passage of data to separate contractors who have responsibility for wider dissemination and quality control/quality assurance of data.
