Carnlough Library

Tender description

Larne Borough Council requires a contractor to undertake the refurbishment, alterations and extension to the existing Carnlough Library on the Harbour Road, Carnlough. The proposed refurbishment is an opportunity to provide up to date library facilities and a dedicated heritage space for the residents of Carnlough and tourists. The proposed scheme includes: • Increase of floor space within the building by installing a first floor level for heritage use within the existing building, accessed by a staircase and a platform lift • Construction of a single storey rear extension to the library. • Installation of a new heating system with mechanical and electrical services replaced or upgraded throughout as appropriate. • Roof repairs to the clock tower This project is part funded by the European Commission and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD).
