Tender description
Ulster Wildlife is one of 11 collaborative partners in the INTERREG VA funded conservation project called CANN (Collaborative Action for the Natura Network). The project aims to strengthen cross-border co-operation to facilitate the recovery of selected habitats and priority species and meet the targets of the EU Birds and Habitats Directives and the EU Biodiversity Strategy. This will be achieved through development of Conservation Action Plans/Species Action Plans, direct conservation work at protected sites, development of best practice guidance and, communication and outreach programmes. Cuilcagh Mountain comprising Cuilcagh Mountain Special Area of Conservation and Cuilcagh-Anierin Uplands Special Area of Conservation is one of the cross-border sites within the CANN Project. Blanket bog is the priority habitat for which Cuilcagh Mountain SACs is being included within this project. A Conservation Action Plan will be developed in both jurisdictions for Cuilcagh Mountain Special Area of Conservation and Cuilcagh-Anierin Uplands Special Area of Conservation. This will lead to direct conservation actions as a result of the Plan. As part of this project, Ulster Wildlife wishes to appoint a competent and suitably qualified tenderer(s) to write a series of Scoping reports for both; Cuilcagh Mountain Special Area of Conservation and Cuilcagh-Anierin Uplands Special Area of Conservation hereafter known as Cuilcagh Mountain Special Areas of Conservation (SACs). This will be a three phase consecutive approach comprising the following interrelated job Lots: Lot 1: Priority Conservation Actions Study Lot 2: Access Study Lot 3: Natural Capital Study The Scoping Study tender consists of three independent parts (3 lots). Tenderers may submit a tender for one or more parts however each part requires a separate tender submission.
