Tender description

The Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority owns and operates the MV Kilmourne a small Dredger operating out of Kilkeel harbour. The vessel operates with an excavator mounted on the forward deck using a hydraulic clam shell grab to fill a 100m3 hopper. The Authority wishes to award a two-year call-off contract for the supply of a long reach excavator and operator to work on the Authority’s dredger in the completion of the Authority’s annual maintenance dredging requirement which is in the range of 13,000-16,000 m3. It is planned to meet this requirement in a series of separate ‘dredging campaigns’ for periods of around 30 days at a time and with an estimated total annual requirement of between 60 and 100 days per annum inclusive of estimated downtime.
