Project_2766 DARD / CAFRE – Supply and Delivery of Chainsaw Training and Assessment The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) wish to appoint a contractor to supply and deliver chainsaw training and assessment to DARD Forest Service personnel and to occasional users such as farmers and growers. Candidates are to be trained to national standards as laid down by the appropriate awarding bodies (LANTRA) and regulatory authorities for the safe use of chainsaws in a given range of specific work activities. Where assessment is required, candidates are to be assessed to national standards as laid down by the appropriate awarding bodies (LANTRA and/or NPTC) and regulatory authorities. It is anticipated that this contract will be awarded mid September. This contract shall take effect from the date of award and will initially run for one (1) year with the option to extend for two (2) further periods of one (1) year each unless it is otherwise terminated in accordance with the provisions of these Conditions.
