CA263 - Provision of Asset Records Geographic Positional Improvement Services

Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE Networks) owns and maintains Northern Ireland’s electrical infrastructure. It is NIE Networks responsibility to record the geographical and attribute records of all of its assets. The geographical position of an asset is digitised relative to Ordinance Survey of Northern Ireland’s (OSNI) large scale vector mapping. In 2013 OSNI completed a programme to positionally improve their mapping data. As a consequence, NIE Networks requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to realign the NIE Networks geographic asset records, relative to the new, positionally improved OSNI large scale vector mapping. NIE Networks invites all interested suppliers to attend a “Supplier Information Event” at the MOUNT Business and Conference Centre, Belfast on the 25th February 2016. NIE Networks’ requirements will be presented in greater detail and attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions. A project has been created on eSourcingNI (https://e-sourcingni.bravosolution.co.uk/web/login.shtml). More information can be obtained on the requirement and the Suppliers Information Event by registering and accessing the project on eSourcingNI. Please Note: the closing date and time for registering on the Supplier Information Event is 12 noon on the 19th February 2016. The ONLY way you can register on the event is by expressing your interest via the secure messaging function (within the project) on eSourcingNI. This is not a regulated procurement as the value of the contract is anticipated to be less than EU Utility Contracts financial threshold. Nevertheless, in order to attract widespread interest and encourage supplier participation, this invitation is openly published throughout the European Union.
