C0423 Belfast Transport Hub - 3D Laser Survey

Tender description

Belfast Transport Hub –3D Laser Survey (RE-ADVERTISEMENT) Arup have been appointed by Translink as lead designers to develop a master plan of the existing Europa Bus and Rail Centre site. Translink wish to redevelop this substantial site into a modern Belfast Transport Hub with engineering facilities and bus parking together with a new Head Office for the Translink Group. The objective of the survey is to provide a point cloud survey for the area bounded by red line in Drawing C0423-ARP-00-XX-SU-CX-00001. It is permissible for the survey Consultant to utilise traditional survey methods to obtain the survey data however a site wide point cloud survey is still required. This will be used as a basis for the master planning of the site and possibly for asset management during its operation. The survey will be post processed into the following formats and uses: • Topographic survey: This allowing the development of engineering and architectural design for the proposed transport Hub • TruView Model: This will record the existing condition of the site prior to construction • Revit Model: This will provide an understanding of the buildings which interconnect on the site while also acting as an as built drawing • Existing Building Elevations, Sections and Plans: This to assist in setting the proposed development in context The Consultant will be employed by Translink whilst Arup will deal with technical matters of the survey, site access arrangements and health & safety considerations. For the purpose of this document the ‘Consultant’ refers to the company appointed to carry out the survey and to produce the deliverables detailed within this specification. This document sets out in detail the specification and scope for the survey and the resulting deliverables. The contract will start in May 2015 and be completed by August 2015 The form of contract will be NEC3 Professional Services Contract
