Tender description

The Histopathology Department of the Trust has a requirement for replacement Histology Tissue Processors to process diagnostic tissue from formalin into wax for sectioning. Limited Capital Funding is in place and the Trust requires processing machine(s) that are capable of LEAN processing principles moving away from large batch processing. This would be aided by faster processing times and the ability to have multiple processing programmes running together. It is anticipated that this could be achieved using a combination of two different types of machine or a single type of machine. The decision on the optimum number and mix of processors will be based on affordability and the outcome of the evaluation of quotations.
