Bus Eco-Driving System Project

Tender description

Requirement title: Bus Eco-Driving System Project Translink intend to initiate a project to roll-out an eco-driving system to the entire bus/coach fleet. The project will entail designing and supplying, with an option to install and fit, a suitable eco-driving system to approximately 1265 vehicles located at 20 main depots across Northern Ireland. The successful supplier will also be required to facilitate hosting the proposed information system and reporting back the system results in an agreed format, provide on-going system support and maintenance services, deliver system training to managers, inspectors, drivers, engineers and Driving School Instructors and project manage the system roll-out from initiation to full implementation to ensure the successful delivery of the project. Roll out is expected on a depot-by-depot basis.The anticipated project start date is in Quarter 3 2012. The successful tenderer will be required to provide on-going support and maintenance to the eco-driving system for an initial contract period of 5 years with options to extend for a further 5 one year periods. This is a requirement for Translink and returns for this section are due by: 3pm on Tuesday 20th December 2011 Translink is utilising an electronic tendering system to manage this procurement and communicate with Tenderers.
