Blood Testing Laboratory Services

Tender description

1. The University requires the services of a Laboratory to analyse human blood samples for a range of factors. These will include, as a minimum, analysis for Hepatitis B Antibody Antigen Hepatitis C HIV Measles Rubella Varicella Quantiferon for TB The respondent is asked to provide the cost for each type of analysis. 2. The laboratory must be capable of carrying out multiple analysis from each sample and must retain a portion of the blood sample for a period of up to 3 months should subsequent additional analysis (or re-testing) be required. All analysis undertaken must be to all relevant national and international standards and ensure confidentiality. The laboratory must have the ability to deal with approximately 1500 samples over a 12 month period with peak times around March being approximately 800 in a month. 3. The laboratory must provide supplies to enable our Nurses to take blood samples efficiently and effectively. These will include needles, safe needle system, vacutainer, alcohol swabs, plasters, blood collection tubes, customised analysis request forms and packaging material including protective packaging compliant with Royal Mail standards and 1st Class pre-paid mailing envelopes and/or courier collection service. Supplies must be able to be delivered to each of our four campuses. The cost of supplies and delivery should be included in the cost for each type of analysis or may be itemised separately 4. Results of blood analysis should be made available to the University as soon as possible but within 2 working days. The cost of reporting results should be included in the cost for each type of analysis or may be itemised separately. 5. The Laboratory should invoice the University for testing services provided on a monthly basis.
