Birth Family Support in Adoption and Adult Adoptee Origins Tracing Services

Tender description

The objectives of this procurement are:- • To provide a Support and Counselling Service for Birth Families resident in Northern Ireland, whose children have been adopted under the provisions of the Adoption NI Order 1987. • To provide a Regional Tracing Service, to support the ‘Origins’ work of Registered Adoption Agencies within Northern Ireland. • To provide ‘Contact Support’ between birth families and their adopted children within the Belfast and South Eastern Health & Social Care Trusts. In line with the current legislative requirement under Article 3 (3) of the Adoption (Northern Ireland) Order 1987 this service constitutes an adoption support service and must be provided by an Adoption Society registered under the Voluntary Adoption Agencies Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010.
