Tender description

This contract will include the programming/scheduling, coordination, execution and management of enabling and demolition works for a new replacement acute mental health inpatient facility on the Belfast hospital site including : 1. Site compound establishment and traffic management. 2. Specialist Survey Works. 3. Provision of specific archaeological services and the management of works responsibilities to fulfil the requirements of the Scheduled Monument Consent for the existing Chimney. 4. Building decommissioning works. 5. Asbestos survey / definition of removal strategy and removals. 6. Environmental Works ( Tree Removal / Bat Boxes / Japanese Knott Weed) 7. Phased Building Demolitions. 8. Material Stockpiling and Waste Management. 9. Service disconnections and temporary works (see note 2.1.1) 10. Specific 'Making-Good' tasks. 11. Maintenance of traffic routes Further notes on description of works: The works will be within the confines of an acute hospital where works must be planned and executed in careful manner to avoid any disruption to functioning of the hospital, its ancillary services along with Transport & Sewing works contract site, QUB new build contractor site and QUB buildings in use that all adjoin the site. Note 2.1.1 re M&E services disconnections and temporary works M&E Diversions: • CCTV Cameras to be isolated, disconnected and relocated in a number of locations; • Multiple phased isolations and diversion of gas, water, fire main, power, BMS and data network infrastructure to allow demolition of buildings without unplanned interruption of services; • Multiple phased isolations and disconnections of LV electrical supplies throughout the contract site along with associated trace and identification activities; • Underground medical gas lines to be isolated, disconnected and removed at various locations without interruption to main gas infrastructure; and • Steam pipework disconnections
