Tender description

The BBC is procuring the second iteration of the BBC Digital Services Framework (DSF II) which is a framework of suppliers capable of supplying Digital Services and associated activities.The required services will include (but are not limited to) the following services and solutions: • digital design; • application development; • mobile application development; • TV development (interactive and IPTV); • database development; • general development practices; and/or • digital testing. Suppliers are required to provide services in at least one of the above capability categories. Suppliers may be required to work across aspects of the BBC’s Online portfolio including, but not limited to, News, Sport, Weather, Children’s, Learning and Knowledge, Radio, Music, iPlayer and TV. Suppliers may also be required to provide services across a variety of bespoke internal staff-facing or other user-facing applications. The BBC is acting on its own behalf and on behalf of any entity within the group of companies of which the BBC is the ultimate owner for example BBC Worldwide Limited, BBC Global News Limited, BBC World Service and Media Application Technologies Limited. Any reference in the ITT to the BBC shall be deemed to include a reference to any entity within the group of companies of which the BBC is the ultimate owner, unless the context otherwise requires. The total estimated contract value over the maximum possible framework term of 27 months (including provision for any extensions permitted) ranges between £2,500,000 and £5,000,000. The BBC estimates that the annual prorata contract value will be at the low end of this range, however a higher upper limit has been provided to ensure increases in contract values can occur if the need arises.
