BBC Factual WWI Tour

BBC Learning is looking to engage the services of an event management/production company to help us to deliver two touring projects that have been commissioned to mark the Centenary of WW1 this summer. 1.) ‘World War One at Home’ [working title] – is a touring road show visiting 8 locations throughout the UK. [5 English locations then an event in Scotland, Wales & N. Ireland] THIS TOUR IS BEING PRODUCED & MANAGED BY BBC LEARNING – SALFORD. 2.) BBC English Regions WW1 Tour. In addition the above project BBC Learning is working with our colleagues in the BBC English Regions on a 35 date tour that will take in all the BBC English Regions. THIS TOUR IS BEING PRODUCED & MANAGED BY THE BBC ENGLISH REGIONS – LONDON. These are smaller 1 day events, but require event management support and input to ensure the safe and effective delivery of these events. They will be timetabled around the 8 events being produced by the BBC Learning team based in Salford. We believe there are synergies and economies of scale to be achieved by contracting a single event management company to take on tour management responsibilities of both Tours.
