Background Nottingham University Hospitals Trust (NUH) is looking to appoint a single supplier to deliver Audit Services to the ICT Services Directorate. The ICT Services Directorate remains committed to meeting its customer requirements & achieving continual improvement, by taking a quality and audit based approach to all it key managerial functions. The Trust was formed on 1 April 2006, when the Queen’s Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital merged in order to develop a range of high quality, sustainable patient services across the two campuses. NUH is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK and provides acute and specialist services to 2.5 million people within Nottingham and the surrounding communities from two hospital sites. NUH’s vision is to become the country’s best acute teaching trust by 2016. The Trust currently has 13,000 employees. Requirements ICT Services currently certified to the ISO 9001:2008 & TickIT 5.5 standard and is looking to appoint a single contractor to initially undertake the ISO 9001:2008 & TickIT 5.5 Standard audit for its services commencing in July 2013. ICT Services is currently working towards achieving the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard certification within the first quarter of 2014, subsequently ICT Services will commence an audit programme in line with the requirements of the standard.
