AQP (Any Qualified Provider) Elective Services – NHS Somerset CCG

NHS Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking to commission Elective services. All providers who are currently providing AQP Elective services to Somerset CCG need not apply again. The Commissioners require an elective service with staff qualified to appropriate levels of skill and experience, using connection to NHS information and the ability to integrate with the Choose and Book system, robust performance management systems and stringent levels of clinical governance. The successful providers will be required to sign the relevant national NHS contract for the service, accepting all terms and conditions. The service will be commissioned using the Any Qualified Provider process. In securing services under the AQP process assurance of competence, quality and safety standards is required. Any provider will be eligible to join the qualified provider list subject to demonstrating competency against specified criteria. It should be noted that under the AQP model, there will be no guarantees of volume payments in the contract award. The key objective of the Contracting Authority procurement is to secure Any Qualified Providers for elective services provision for the community of Somerset in the following areas: General Surgery, including vascular, breast and colorectal surgery Dermatology Gastroenterology including Endoscopy Gynaecology Ophthalmology Orthopaedics Ear Nose and Throat Urology Cardiology Potential Providers are asked to please note the following: The Bravo Messaging system for questions from Applicants will close on Tuesday 13 May 2014 at 12 noon, allowing time for answers to be posted and applicants to complete their applications by the reply by date of Tuesday 20 May 2014 at 12 noon. If Applicants are asked Clarification Questions during the Evaluation Stages, they have 48 hours in which to respond.
