Tender description

The purpose of the air quality forecast is to predict, on a daily basis, likely concentrations of pollutants known to affect health. This informs additional advice issued to the UK population during periods of high air pollution as well as ensuring compliance with the EU’s Ambient Air Quality Directive. The objective of this Contract is for the Contractor to provide daily air quality forecasts for the UK. The Contractor will achieve this through providing the following: • Clear and concise forecast information that can be easily interpreted by the public. • Advice and guidance to inform appropriate decision making by the government and relevant agencies. • Delivering the forecast information in a timely manner to ensure the forecast information will be appropriately reviewed and included.
