AFBI - Provision of External Audit for ISO9001

AFBI is one of the world’s leading providers of scientific research and services to government, non-governmental and commercial organisations. With its unique breadth of facilities and scientific capability in agriculture, animal health, food, environment, biosciences, and economics, AFBI conducts a wide range of valuable projects for both the public and private sectors and comprises approximately 800 staff based at various locations across Northern Ireland; Newforge (Belfast HQ), Stormont, Hillsborough, Loughgall, Crossnacreevy and Bushmills. Further information can be obtained at: http://www.afbini.gov.uk/ As the start of the 3-year cycle for renewal of certification is approaching, AFBI invites companies to tender for the provision of ISO9001 certification services to AFBI. The services shall include a recertification audit in year 1, and annual surveillance audits in years 2 and 3, and shall be provided to the AFBI branches that are within the ISO9001 scope (see above). All audits and any associated work are to be conducted in the manner required for accreditation by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) for the provision of ISO9001 certification.
