ACT/RC1136 PYROTECHNICS

Tender description

The Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) within the Ministry of Defence (MOD) (“the Authority”) intends to issue an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for a Research and Development (R&D) project called PYROTECHNICS which involves the design and manufacture of a prototype modular Electronic Warfare Payload. PYROTECHNICS is highly classified; up to SECRET UK EYES ONLY (with potential movement to TOP SECRET), for this reason the Authority cannot share further information without first satisfying security protocols. An exemption applying Regulation 7(1)(a) of the Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations (DSPCR) 2011 in conjunction with Regulation 6(3A)(a) has been endorsed for this project. The Authority has uploaded this PIN to the Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) to invite suitable Contractors to confirm their interest in the opportunity by (i) completing a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) that will capture relevant capabilities and experience of the Contractor in relation to this requirement; and (ii) support the Authority in demonstrating adherence to the mandatory compliance requirements for projects of this security classification. The Authority will evaluate the PIN response to determine suitability-for and advancement-to the competitive ITT phase. The Authority anticipate Contract Award in Q1 2023; however, this is subject to change.
