Tender description

Network Rail are introducing new technologies to the network to improve performance and increase capacity. A key component of this is the introduction of the European Train Control System (ETCS). The introduction of ETCS will require training to be provided to train drivers. In conjunction with the wider rail industry, Network Rail has led and completed an ETCS Learning Needs Analysis and High Level Design for both Drivers and Traction Maintainers. Network Rail now requires a supplier to bring relevant skills and expertise to translate the high level design into a detailed design for training materials. The supplier shall apply a learner centric approach to the design, and embrace the opportunities afforded by different technologies and media types for use within training materials. The supplier will then be required to deliver a structured and well managed development process of the training materials.
