17-13 Window Cleaning Services

Tender description

The contract(s) are for the provision of window cleaning services across the University Estate. This requirement is split into two (2) Lots: Lot 1 covers the traditional (non-specialist) cleaning of external and internal windows across City, Walsall, Telford Campuses and University of Wolverhampton Science Park. The Lot 1 Contract will be awarded to a single Contractor. Lot 2 covers window cleaning to those buildings which require specialist access techniques i.e. rope-access predominantly located at City Campus. The Lot 2 Contract will be awarded to a single Contractor. Tenderers can only apply for a single Lot. Tenderers cannot apply for both Lot 1 & Lot 2. The term of the Contract shall be for a period of three (3) years commencing on 01st October 2017 with an optional extension of up to an additional two further twelve (12) month periods. The maximum Contract duration is therefore five (5) years. Qualification requirements include:• The successful Lot 1 Contractor must have a minimum of £5m Public Liability Insurance • The successful Lot 2, Contractor must have a minimum of £2m Public Liability Insurance • The successful Contractor(s) must have a minimum of £5m Employers Indemnity Insurance • The Tenderer must have a minimum annual turnover of £75,000 (Lot 1), £250,000 (Lot 2) • The Tenderer(s) must have a Credit Safe score of ≥30 LOT 1 • The Tenderer must hold a relevant Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) certificate or provide evidence that they comply with UK Health & Safety legislative requirements. LOT 2 • The Tenderer must hold an accredited independent third party certificate of compliance with BS OHSAS 18001 / or a relevant Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) certificate as part of the SSIP audit. • The Tenderer must hold full IRATA membership or has suitable staff with IRATA accreditation (must have at least one Level 3 operative). • The Tenderer must be a member of the Federation of Window Cleaning
