Upgrade of External Lighting Systems at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Donegal

Tender description

Under the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine’s Capital Works Programme for 2022 it is proposed to upgrade all external lighting within the Fishery Harbour Centre. Works will be conducted on all areas of the Harbour which will include working close to and over water. In the Works Requirements document the overview gives a general description of the works in each of the Harbour is outlined with all external lights being upgraded as well as some of the existing lighting columns being replaced with new columns that will improve the safety of maintenance as well as reducing the maintenance incidents and in turn saving on costs. The Contractor shall Supply, install, balance, test and commission the electrical services installations defined in Tetra Tech drawings and specification. The drawings indicate all of the works which are expected to be carried out. These Contract Works are described and shown on the Contract drawings. As part of the Capital Works Programme for 2022 a project was outlined to upgrade the existing lighting systems within the Harbour to a high functioning system, controlled digitally and with a saving on emissions, costs and environmental benefits being key components.
