Tender description

<p>Phase 1 construction of the BBCT has commenced, under planning permission reference no. 21/01810/VOC (Tendring District Council (TDC)). The planning permission authorises the construction of a new container port at Harwich, Essex, UK. A Marine Licence application is required. Compensatory measures were approved in 2006 (TDC planning permission reference 03/01200/FUL) to address the adverse effect of BBCT on the integrity of the Stour and Orwell Estuaries Special Protection Area (SPA) and Ramsar site. The proposed managed realignment site is in Little Oakley, Essex and is the subject of a new planning application ref no. 21/02144/FUL, referred to as Little Oakley Managed Realignment (LOMR). Professional Environmental Consultancy Advice is required to execute the next stage of the development of these two sites, that is, the successful implementation of Phase 2 of the BSBCT and implementation of the LOMR permission. In addition support to the BSBCT marine licence application is also required. The scope of services, from appointment to end of December 2024, will include: - Production of Environmental Report for a marine licence application for dredge, construction and disposal at BSBCT. - To respond to consultee clarifications and/or objections on the marine licence application. - Provision of reports and documentation for discharge of condition applications to TDC (i.e. air-quality, ecology, transport, construction management plan, landscape, etc). - Environmental stakeholder management to secure an agreed Compensation and Mitigation Adaptive Management plan with Statutory Regulators. - Project Management and procurement of third-party suppliers for specialist surveys (i.e. bird counts, heritage, transport). - To provide ad hoc expert advice on a time basis. - Attend two project team meetings per month.</p> Keywords: survey, environment
