Tender description
The services comprise a Grid Constraints Analysis for clean energy power generation projects. The below details are specific to Blackwater Solar Farm, however, scope of work for future works would be largely aligned with the below. The general scope of services is to conduct network constraint analysis (8760 hours study) for Blackwater solar farm and to calculate the estimated annual solar energy reduction (calculated in both percentage and MWh). Specific aspects of the scope are highlighted below under the respective project phases. Blackwater Phase 1 Phase 1 of the solar farm consists of a transmission connection to the 110 kV transmission system which connects to Shannonbridge 110 kV substation with the following to be studied: • Constraint study with MEC of 160 MW, connecting year shall be assumed to be 2026 Blackwater Phase 2 Phase 2 of the solar farm, is intended to connect to the 220 kV transmission system at Shannonbridge 220 kV substation in addition to Phase 1 connecting at 110kV with the following studied: • Constraint study with MEC of 200 MW, connecting year shall be assumed to be 2028 Initial Study Assumptions Tenderers Shall Account For: Transmission Network The latest publicly available PSS/e transmission network model shall be used. Transmission Reinforcement: Reinforcements as identified in EirGrid’s latest ECP Constraint Report for the relevant study year. Generation & merit order: An input list noting generators and merit order for inclusion within the studies shall be agreed in advance of simulations with the Client. Capacity Factor, Wind & Solar Profile hourly data: The capacity factor as well as wind and solar profiles shall match those utilised by EirGrid in their latest ECP constraint reports. Demand Profile: The demand profile for studies shall use forecasted median scenario as published in the latest EirGrid Generation Capacity Statement, for the intended connecting year, where possible. Constraint Groups: Constraint group
