Tender description
Requirement: Cefas require 8 or 16 Alpha Detectors (price dependent), ideally 150mm2 Silicon Surface Barrier (SSB) detectors but Ion Implanted versions of either 150 mm2 or 300mm2 would be considered. Each detector is to have a rear mounted microdot connector and must be compatible with Ametek Ensemble detector arrays. Units have to be extremely low/zero background and high efficiency across the whole range of alpha energies, to enable assay of alpha emitting radionuclides down to the Bq level (microBequerel). Delivery and Installation Requirements: Please ensure that delivery lead times are contained within the proposal. It is important to Cefas that delivery is made before or during week commencing 27th March 2023 to ensure payment by end of Financial Year. If delivery cannot be accommodated in this timeframe, please refrain from submitting a bid.
