Testing of up to 100 Climbing Harnesses to verify compliance with applicable safety regulations

The Office for Prduct Safety and Standards (OPSS) is part of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). OPSS is an appointed market surveillance authority, responsible for (via the Secretary of State) enforcing the General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) within the UK. OPSS is seeking to award a contract to a supplier to perform testing on up to a total of 100 climbing harnesses to verify compliance with the applicable Regulations (and any amendments to these): EN 12277:2015+A1:2018 Labelling assessment - Visual check according to regulation o Art 8(5) - Type, batch or serial number o Art 8(6) - Manufacturer name, registered trade name or registered trademark o Art 8(6) - Manufacturer address o Art 8(7) - Instructions in English o Art 8(8) - Declaration of conformity o Art 10(3) - Importer name, registered trade name or registered trademark o Art 10(3) - Importer address o Art 17(1) - CE (UKCA) marking o Art 17(3) - Cat III PPE, the CE (UKCA) marking followed by NB number Please register your interest in submitting a tender for this project by signing up to our procurement platform, Jaggaer.
