Summary of the work Responsible for the Assurance of the BPS Migration Service, and its components (mapper, configurator and generator) allowing end consumers to select specific data items from Screens, Database/ files within the VME-R applications for migration onto replacement systems. Implement toolkits and API's enabling migration of Data to transformed Services (eg. GYSP). Specialist role Quality assurance analyst Expected Contract Length 5 months Latest start date Monday 7 November 2022 Maximum Day Rate Up to £480 per day + VAT. Standard 8 hour working day, includes expenses to base location agreed with DWP. This role is Inside IR35. Who Speclialist Work With The resource will work with the existing DWP BPS Delivery Team. This team has a Lead Technical Delivery Manager, Design Lead, Technical Architect and a COBOL Developer. What Specialists Work On Technical Testing providing assurance, technical guidance and implementing testing best practices. This will include coaching, mentoring and supporting your team members. Skills & Experience • Build and deliver comprehensive, robust and reliable automated test frameworks and automation suites to provide full coverage of business requirements. • Identify and drive resolution of defects or issues preventing delivery of Test Engineering activities. • Maintain full traceability of defects, tests and requirements. • Design, build and maintain an effective test infrastructure. • Create and maintain appropriate documentation within the test automation code base. • Knowledge of the latest technical test tools and where it would be beneficial to apply them. • Review the test suite and update the code base to reflect current best practices and reduce technical debt. • Develop and maintain reusable libraries and services. • Communicate with other teams and share technical resources, knowledge and lessons learned. • Contribute to the production of appropriate test approaches and reporting mechanisms. • Ensure that usability, accessibility, security, stability and capacity are embedded in the development. Work Location North East - Longbenton, Newcastle OR North West - Peel Park, Blackpool. Working Arrangments Specialist will work 5 working days per week with a hybrid working arrangement incorporating remote and office working. Attendance on site 40% of the specialist's time is a mandatory requirement. Security Clearance All suppliers must be SC Government cleared and On-Shore. Additional T&Cs It is essential that the Department (DWP) holds copies of and rights to all source code developed and accompanying intellectual property rights to the code to develop further or make changes as it sees fit. No. Due to the length of time it takes to get SC (approximately 12 weeks) we need someone who already has SC sponsored by a Govt Department. If the SC is still current and they have been in a role requiring it in the last 12 months, we can transfer it across. 6. Sorry another question relating to Clearance. We have a Test Engineer who is local and available, he has a valid BPSS clearance, but his SC clearance has just lapsed. Would you consider BPSS level candidates? No, SC clearance is required.
