Pre-Market Consultation - Placed Based Digital Strategy

North East Lincolnshire Council is undertaking pre-market consultation for a place based digital strategy. There have been a number of organisational digital strategies across North East Lincolnshire that have looked at digital inclusion, skills and business support. Whilst these have had some success, the Place Board has recently decided that to make the best of digital opportunities we need a Digital Strategy for Place. This will outline:- 1. what already exists that could be better used through a more collaborative approach, including existing infrastructure, support and skills 2. what the gaps are - what is holding NEL back in terms of optimising opportunities for businesses and communities from new digital provision / ways of working/ innovation and growth. 3. a digital map of the whole borough, highlighting hot spots of access to superfast broadband and highlighting any areas that need investment 4. barriers to digital access for households and businesses and recommendations for implementing the most cost-effective way to address them 5. future proofing the borough – what we need to have in place now and over the next 10 years to ensure that the borough can become a leading digital borough We are looking for input from organisations that have a background in producing digital strategies across all sectors and would like to get a feel for the activity that you think would need to be included in any future procurement to enable the production of digital strategy for place. We would also welcome thoughts on any areas you think would need including in such a strategy that would be needed and not covered above.
