LHP Skillnet is seeking to partner with a learning and development company to redesign the QQI Level 5 Major Award programme - Certificate in Healthcare Support (5M4339) for blended delivery.

Tender description

Based on the QQI Award Specifications for the programme and individual modules, LHP Skillnet has module descriptors which outline how LHP Skillnet currently deliver the programme and modules (face-to-face) in alignment with the QQI Award Specifications. The redesign of the programme will focus on the creation of new LHP Skillnet Module Descriptors for blended delivery of the eight [8] modules, along with the creation of the programme and modules on LHP Skillnet’s Moodle site including all activities, resources and materials. Currently, each module of the programme is delivered through a mix of direct contact time and indirect time. In general, there are 12-15 hours of live in-person classes per module over 3 contact days; 1 day per week. A significant amount of this time is tutor-led presentations. Since Covid-19, the programme is delivered through Microsoft Teams for Education including live tutorials, assignments and class management / administration. The redesigned programme will be blended with a greater focus on learning through non-contact online learning. Following the redesign, it would be expected that the time allocated to tutor-led powerpoint presentation delivery, currently delivered in the live in-person class time would be significantly reduced. In-person class time in the redesigned programme would focus on more complex topics, discussion, reinforcement of prior learning and group activities.
