Tender description

The Secretary of State for the Home Department (the "Authority"), acting through the Interpersonal Abuse Unit, intends to make an amount up to £1,509,000 over two years (financial years 2023/24 and 2024/25) of grant funding available. The intention is to fund approximately 3 separate Recipients. Tackling VAWG is a top Government priority. This funding will deliver on commitments and ambition within the Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy 2021 and the Tackling Domestic Abuse Plan 2022. A key pillar in both the Tackling VAWG Strategy and the Tackling Domestic Abuse Plan is to transform the whole of society's response when supporting victims. Our ambition through this competition is to identify and fund best-in-class organisations able to design, lead and deliver services for the users and communities they aim to serve, in order to improve outcomes for victims of VAWG. Additional information: We welcome bids from voluntary and community sector organisations, and bids from local commissioners, including Police and Crime Commissioners, local authorities or health commissioners. Where a bidding organisation would not themselves qualify as a 'by and for' or VAWG 'specialist' organisation (presumably bidding as a Lead Partner to subsequently commission services), their bid must very clearly detail how funding will reach only the type of organisations that do qualify as 'by and for' and/or VAWG 'specialist' and what value they add, as Lead Partner, to ensuring funding reaches 'by and for' and/or VAWG 'specialist' organisations.Declarations will be required confirming eligibility to apply. This is an online competition managed via the Home Office eSourcing Portal, Jaggaer.
