East Cheshire Aquifer Model The EA is looking to procure one Contractor to deliver the requirements outlined in this ITT. A separate contract will be commissioned for an External Peer Reviewer (EPR), who will assist the EA and Contractor on the main contract with decision making and quality checks as part of the Task Review Team. As it is now close to two decades since the original model was developed, it requires updating with meteorological, abstraction and hydrometric data time series data from January 2002 to December 2021, so that it is up to date, and we can use it confidently to manage the water resources and assess impacts of abstraction. The model also requires upgrading from MODFLOW 96 to the modelling codes agreed by the project team. The objectives of the work are: • To review the 2004 East Cheshire Aquifer Model and agree and obtain the datasets to be used in the model upgrade • To upgrade the model with meteorological, abstraction and hydrometric data time series data from 1970 to December 2021 • To agree other valuable upgrades to the Model with the Task Review Team and implement them • To review, update and finalise the East Cheshire Aquifer Model Report – bringing the existing conceptual model up-to-date with current and updated data, literature and understanding.
