The project comprises the design and construction of a modern freshwater aquaculture system using RAS (Recirculating aquaculture systems) technology to meet Inland Fisheries Ireland's current and future fish production requirement. Lot 1: This Prior Information Notice is to create market awareness, elicit market insights and ascertain market appetite for this project. Inland Fisheries Ireland is undertaking preliminary market consultations as outlined under Article 40 of Directive 2014/24/EU. IFI is alerting the market of these future procurement opportunities. It is hoped that parties will provide constructive feedback and help inform IFI's preferred procurement and contract strategy. The project comprises the design and construction of a modern freshwater aquaculture system using RAS (Recirculating aquaculture systems) technology to meet Inland Fisheries Ireland's (IFI) current and future fish production requirement. The concept design is of a modular recirculating aquaculture system for both brown trout and rainbow trout. It also has a section for salmon production enabling IFI to maintain its current salmon stocking activities. Parties interested in participating in this process should register their interest on www.etenders.gov.ie, download, complete and return the questionnaire. A brief descriptive document together with a questionnaire has been provided. All Parties are invited to submit responses to the questionnaire via the portal by 17:00 on 06 December 2022. As part of this process, Inland Fisheries Ireland may hold one-to-one discussions with selected parties, as practical on dates to be advised. The final detail of any potential procurement procedures will be influenced by a number of factors including the outcome of this PIN process.
