Health Education England are putting out this notice as a VEAT Notice (Voluntary Ex ante Transparency Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to The Vascular Society The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. HEE is seeking a provider for the provision of training courses for trainee doctors in vascular surgery, specifically abdominal aortic aneurysms, varicose vein management and renal access. HEE believes that it is highly unlikely for any other supplier to be able to provide the following skills/tools provided by The Vascular Society as a current supplier for the following reasons: • The Vascular Society already hold extensive knowledge and understanding of the training requirements of the trainee vascular surgeons. • The Vascular Society have extensive knowledge of HEE and the Training Recovery Programme and are well placed to ensure the funding is appropriately applied to reduce the risk of extensions to Doctors in Training. • The Vascular Society have extensive knowledge of this training provision having designed the training and successfully delivered it previously. • The Vascular Society has specialist expertise that could not be sought elsewhere and are currently the only supplier that can deliver this specialist training. https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects All communications should be made via the messaging function on the Health Family eTendering portal.
