Tender description

Derry City and Strabane District Council invites tenders to provide the service for an Architect-led Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT). The Gatelodge development is an entirely separate site that immediately abuts the main Acorn Farm development site and will provide a principle pedestrian point of entry to the wider Acorn Farm development from St Columb’s Park. Both developments are to be delivered concurrently under separate building contracts and the successful delivery of both contracts will require high levels of coordination and cooperation between the Integrated Project Teams for both element of the project. Planning Approval has been secured for the Gatelodge development. However, the commission will include a review and update of the approved Stage 3 Design to ensure that it aligns with the Council's climate action commitments and the overall nearly net zero emissions of the main Acorn Farm Project. The ambition for the Gatelodge project is to develop the design to achieve a “Certified” Passive House Accreditation (Refer to Instructions to Tenderers ITT Document for more detail).
