Tender description
Pyramid mentoring is run on 4 stages to ensure success these are the foundation of mentoring and ensure they can support each client on the road to reach their potential. Stage 1 build trust and develop a relationship Stage 2 develop self confidence and build resilience Stage 3 develop skills/ independence Stage 4 no longer need the service. Every client they work with has an assessment to ensure they offer a high quality service. Below is their referral process model to ensure this. • Funder sends referral • Coordinator meets client • Solution focused outcomes agreed by all • Matching client with best suited mentor • Mentor meets client • Work towards 4 stages of success. Because every client is different, they know that each programme will be bespoke rather than run a generic service package. They have seen that grouping YP with additional behaviour and emotional needs rarely works and working exclusively in a school environment can be seen to reduce chances of success. Their programme works in the community and by doing so ensures they can develop trust and integrate YP who have in some cases not left the family home in many months. WTheye know that it takes time to build trust as a lot of YP have several of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and or additional needs which are related to long term behaviours. Once they have built trust they can work with YP on developing confidence, resilience and a change mindset to work towards reaching their potential. The mentor and mentee work together on agreed measurable outcomes. To support and effect longer term behaviour change Pyramid Mentoring realise that it can generally take a minimum of 3 months for YP to develop growth. All sessions are recorded in a mentor diary which tracks progress attendance and breakthroughs which are all linked with the outcomes agreed. Access to the mentor diaries are shared with commissioners under GDPR data protection rules. This ensure that commissioners have the confidence that the programme is being delivered to agreed objectives. They have a proven track record and believe in a inter agency approach. A lot of YP will have multiple agencies involved. They also believe that effective communication and regular meeting attendance to information share is an essential component.
