Tender description
• The programme can be delivered either over 12 x 6 hours days, or 24 x 3 hours sessions over 12 weeks. There is also flexibility to tailor the programme depending on needs. • The maximum number of young people is 6, with a tutor ratio of 1 to 3. • The young people will have access to Edventure’s Remakery, including a range of craft tools and materials, and from April 2021, also digital make tools including a CNC cutting machine, 3-D printer and laser cutter. • The tutors will guide the group through the design, making & selling of a product, and offer a number of reuse & upcycling media to work in. • For motivation, the young people can decide to keep the money they earn and donate a proportion of it to a community cause of their choice. • After 12 weeks, young people can continue to participate in supported sessions, making & selling their own products, if there is capacity on a programme and it helps them to progress. • We propose to start January 2022, and during the 6 month pilot phase, deliver two programmes, one before Easter and one afterwards. From September onwards, we have capacity to deliver 2 programmes a term running concurrently on two days a week. Three payments: • First week of October £7,357 • First week of January £7,357 • First week of May £7,356 As part of the partnership college, Edventure will offer young people a home for building a positive future, through a 12-week programme, and offering our venue for other provisions. They propose a target group during term time in Frome / Mendip. The overall aim of the programmes are: ? Build personal skills, including confidence & ability to work / learn with others ? Build transferable enterprise / employability skills ? Build positive relationships and involvement in our local the community ? Build motivation and opportunities to move into further education, training or employment. The programme enables each young person to follow their interest and build on their strengths whilst designing, making and selling upcycled products.
