RFP-FY-23-21 Consultancy to support WP1.5 Space Commercialisation Engine Outreach

Tender description

The Space Commercialisation Engine was established at Space Park Leicester in July 2021 and open to organisations UK wide. The mission of the SCE is to stimulate the earth observation (EO) services market. It supports the development of a proof of concept and a strategy justification for innovative ideas that require EO data with access to technical experts and business strategy advisers. This helps develop supply chains using these technologies into new sectors and expand the use of space-based technologies throughout the economy therefore growing the UK space sector. Requirement Building on the success of the first year of the SCE, and we look to increase the impact of the SCE with outreach across the whole UK ecosystem and target key growing markets. Therefore, as part of our joint LGC Project, the Catapult are seeking to award contracts to business development consultant(cies), to provide effective outreach support to raise awareness of the benefits of EO across the UK in no more than two of the key target markets. The expectation is that the consultant will be a specialist in their nominated market sector. Lot 1: Agriculture Lot 2: Defence & Intelligence Lot 3: Drought/Flooding Lot 4: Energy & Infrastructure Lot 5: Finance & Insurance Lot 6: Mapping & Sustainability Increasing the take up of SCE across the UK and in new markets helps regional space communities to grow and champion space in new and adjacent non-space markets.
