This addresses all applications of ultrasound from power ultrasonics to micro ultrasound imaging. Ultrasound is generated and detected with ultrasonic transducers which often contain piezoelectric material. Transducers, whether piezoelectric or not, are frequently characterized using an electrical impedance analyzer.
