Pre-Market Engagement – Material Supply and Delivery to Tai Tarian

This PIN is a Pre-Market Engagement issued by Tai Tarian to encourage businesses to register and bid for an anticipated materials supply and delivery contract. Tai Tarian is a not-for-profit Registered Social Landlord that was set up in March 2011 to manage, maintain and improve over 9,000 properties spread throughout the Neath Port Talbot County Borough. We are looking for an organisation to provide products and materials to our in-house maintenance teams, which include: - Reactive repairs - Grounds maintenance - Roofing replacement - Works of adaptations Based on historic and current information, Tai Tarian estimates an annual contract value of 1.5 million GBP plus VAT. Lot 1: The number of lots is open to discussion during the engagement exercise and has not yet been finalised but a provisional proposal is that the contract will be split into lots to cover the supply of the following product categories: - General Building Material - Electrical - Plumbing & Bathroom - Kitchens - Ironmongery & Fixings - Aggregates, cement, blocks & bricks - Glazing & UPVC ironmongery - Roofing - Tiling & Flooring - Paint - Cleaning & Estate Management - Timber, Plywood & Cutting Service Interested suppliers are invited to attend a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event, to be held w/c 16th January 2023. The event will be held at Tai Tarian’s Head Office or an appropriately sized venue, the format of which will be confirmed. The day will allow interested suppliers the opportunity to meet with Tai Tarian’s representatives to gain an understanding of our requirements. In addition to this, Tai Tarian hopes that by providing this opportunity, suppliers can demonstrate what is currently possible in the market and to help confirm our requirements moving forward. For example, we are asking for interested suppliers to demonstrate: - Opportunities to reduce travel to collect or deliver materials - Combing of lots/breaking lots for further competition - Innovative use for IT, including ordering, reconciling payment and reporting - Innovative ways of working (doing things differently) - Opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of our product and material choices To register your interest in attending please email procurement@taitarian.co.uk The deadline to register is 5pm, 20th December 2022. Please note that the ‘Meet the Buyer’ event will only be carried out on during this week and that time slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note that recording an interest is voluntary and potential tenderers will not be advantaged or disadvantaged through participation in the ‘Meet the Buyer’ event and any discussions held will not form part of any formal tender process. Tai Tarian reserves the right to change its requirements prior to the Contract Notice being issued and this PIN does not commit Tai Tarian to undertake any procurement process. It is anticipated that a Contract Notice will be published within the coming months.
