M5 J11 Bamfurlong Deck - Scaffolding

Tender description

Design, supply, install, inspect and dismantle tube and fitting access scaffold to facilitate PTSI works to the soffit of Bamfurlong Lane Bridge - Bridge over the M5 motorway. Additional information: Specification Requirements Scaffold Access Platforms to abutment 3.1 Scaffold sub-contractors shall be ACHILLES accredited and shall be members of the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC). Only the Provider's approved scaffold sub-contractors (or equivalent) shall be used 3.2 Any temporary scaffold access platforms that are required to carry out the abutment repairs will be subject to sign off by Contractor/Sub-Contractor in house temporary works procedures. National Highways approval is not required for this element of the works. 3.3 Requirements stated in 1 a-d above are required during concrete removal by hydro-demolition. 4. Scaffold provision to stringcourse 4.1 Scaffold sub-contractors shall be accredited in accordance with 2a above. 4.2 National Highways Technical Approval procedures for temporary works will be required for the provision of a working platform to enable removal and reconstruction of the parapet stringcourse. 4.3 Requirements stated in 1 a-d above are required during all concrete removal and reinstatement works. 4.4 Scaffold over the running lanes of the M5 shall not encroach below the existing deck soffit. 4.5 Platform loading are to be provided to the permanent works designer to enable effects of the temporary works on the permanent works to be assessed.
