<p>It is necessary to carry out a procurement for the continued sale of subsidised home food waste treatment produces. The council has identified through its Household Waste Management Strategy (2019) that home food waste treatment is an effective method of managing food waste in Wiltshire, as well as maintaining best value to the council. We intend to open this procurement process by not specifying a particular product, but rather any product that will allow residents to be able to treat their food waste at home. In addition, we would require a supplier to administer the ordering and distribution of the product to Wiltshire residents. The council will not be specifying a product in which bidders need to supply. The procurement will be focused on the outcome required, to treat food waste from home, and the market will offer potential products. In addition, we would require a supplier to administer the ordering and distribution of the product to residents within the Wiltshire Council area. The provider would then invoice, with the appropriate evidence of sales, the council for the difference between the subsidy paid and the agreed unit price each month.
