<p>Fareham Borough Council recognises the valuable contribution that individuals, community groups and voluntary organisations make to the enrichment of the local communities within the Borough. Whether their efforts take the form of providing support to those facing challenges, increasing leisure and community opportunities, or improving residents’ wellbeing, the Council understands that these valuable assets and remarkable people can only reach their full potential with support. Fareham Borough Council has a recognised commissioning process. In line with this approach, we have developed a specification which is focussed on building capacity and resilience in the Borough’s voluntary and community sector. The voluntary sector is a crucial partner for the Council, given the valuable services that it freely delivers locally.
