The University intends to enter into a contractual relationship with a service provider that can provide an innovative solution, supporting the University in meeting its current and future objectives in relation to sustainable waste management, recycling and circularity. At the end of this year, the University of Leeds plans to invite suitable suppliers to bid for ‘The Provision of an Overarching Waste Contractor’ for mobilisation in June 2023. We are therefore engaging with the market on the solution for our requirement. We ask that you complete the Market Engagement Questionnaire we have issued to gain your interest in the opportunity. The University, established in 1904, is one of the largest higher education institutions in the UK with more than 39,000 students from over 170 different countries employing 9,200 staff from more than 100 different countries. At the end of this year, the University of Leeds plans to invite suitable suppliers to bid for ‘The Provision of an Overarching Waste Contractor’ for mobilisation in June 2023. All potential waste streams could be included. We are publishing a market questionnaire to help develop our requirements.
