Installation of new children's playground and associated works at Carrowbrowne Transient Site, Galway

Tender description

Installation of new children's playground and associated works at Carrowbrowne Transient Site, Galway Supply and installation of play equipment in compliance with I.S. EN 1176 including all the additional requirements for children under 36 months old. All facilities and equipment proposed will be youth-friendly, safe and will be selected on the basis of being of good quality and robust in nature. Materials should be durable and limit opportunities for anti-social activity e.g. no hidden areas/roofs, large surfaces that could be graffiti targets; no light materials. Supply and installation of safety surface to the required depths and in compliance with EN 1176 Playground equipment standard and EN 1177 Impact Attenuating Surfacing - Consideration should also be given to extending the surfaced area around equipment with either safer surfacing or other suitable surfacing material to prevent these areas becoming worn, muddy and unsafe. Supply and installation of ancillary works as may be required to include playing surface, surface water drainage, and access to connect to the existing path layout. Project completion date is the 20th December 2022
