Tender description

We are looking to appoint an experienced partner to complete a detailed service mapping exercise for domestic abuse services in West Yorkshire. It is important we obtain accurate and contemporary coverage of the domestic abuse services available within the region. The research will be based on four overarching research questions: 1. What service provision is currently available for victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse? 2. Are there resources or services currently available to support practitioners in challenging domestic abuse behaviours? 3. What are the current referral routes for domestic abuse services in West Yorkshire? 4. To what extent do domestic abuse services in West Yorkshire deliver holistic and multiagency support? Research requirements The exercise will include regional services and those in all five of West Yorkshire’s districts. The commissioned partner will work with domestic abuse leads in each district to: • Identify current service provision available for victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse including intimate partner violence, whole family approaches, child to parent/family abuse and male victims. • Understand the services/resources that are available to support those wanting to challenge domestic abuse related behaviour. • Classify which services accept self-referrals and have quick access also what are the referral routes more generally. • Identify services which adopt and deliver a holistic approach with other providers (i.e., mental health, housing, substance misuse). • Understand and summarise what is currently missing in service provision and whether the right services are available in the right locations. • Provide clear understanding of domestic abuse service coverage, gaps, and any duplication
