Provision of a Residential, Rotational, Respite Bed in Wrexham County Borough

Tender description

1.1 Wrexham County Borough Council requires applications from providers to provide one rotational respite bed at standard residential level. The initiative forms part of Wrexham Adult Social Care offer to provide planned breaks for unpaid carers. 1.2 We will need one home to provide one bed in any location of the Wrexham County Borough. 1.3 The service aims to provide short-stay respite care within a residential setting, to support citizens to receive a planned stay in a residential setting when an unpaid carer has the need for a break from the role, as well as support crisis management when the bed is vacant and an individual needs immediate safe placement. 1.4 The Provider will provide care, support and accommodation in line with its CIW registration and Pre-Placement Agreement with WCBC. Nursing input (where required) will be provided by either the District Nursing Team with responsibility for the Provider, or the Team for Older People, upon negotiation. The provider will ensure the care plan developed by professionals are followed promoting independence.
