LiDAR Topographical Imagery - Airborne Multi Sensor Surveys (1)

Tender description

This specification sets out ESB’s requirements for the capture of LiDAR data and Digital Imagery for the Production of LiDAR Terrain Models, Feature Data and Digital Orthoimagery for use in PLS-CADD and Delivery of RAW/Processed data for the purpose of Vegetation and Clearance Management for overhead line and substation projects. The following services shall be provided: LiDAR Data Collection & Processing The collection of LiDAR data at an agreed flying height to cover the required corridor width, Substation extent and point densities. This shall include survey control and production of survey report including check points and quality control data. Planned Capture Options; A. Capture and process approx. 750 kms per year over 5 years B. Transmission network capture of approx. 2,500kms per year for 3 years C. Transmission Network capture in single mobilisation (approx. 7,000kms) D. Transmission and 38 kV Network capture in a single mobilisation (approx. 13,000 kms) E. Whole country/network capture (approx. 160,000kms of transmission and distribution network) Please note that Capture Option A is the option expected to be utilised, but any of the other planned capture options may be chosen in any year of the framework. This is reflected in the pricing schedule. The following criteria shall be met with regards to this specification: 1. All communication shall be conducted through English. 2. Metric units shall be used at all times. The Contractor shall carry out all work required for the successful completion of the project. All accuracies quoted in this specification refer to Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) values.
