GB-London: The provision of health and medical assessment services for Dental Professionals in relation to fitness to practise cases

The GDC is the UK-wide statutory regulator of around 115,000 members of the dental team, including over 42,000 dentists and 73,000 dental care professionals (DCPs) - dental nurses, clinical dental technicians, dental hygienists, dental technicians, dental therapists, and orthodontic therapists. The GDC is looking to appoint a suitably qualified supplier to provide Health and Medical Assessment Services for Dental Professionals in relation to Fitness to Practise Cases. The services will cover a broad a range of health and medical assessments and toxicology testing, along with a findings and recommendation report. The result of any testing and the expert report will be relied upon to make decisions in FTP cases. To help qualify the estimated value of requirement- the Contract will run for up to 2 years from the Commencement Date. The GDC has the option to extend the duration of the contract by up to 12-months. In any event the total contract value will not exceed £177K exclusive of VAT or £213K including VAT. The contract will automatically terminate on either the expiry date or on reaching the maximum contract value, whichever occurs first. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
