Tender description

The GDC is the UK-wide statutory regulator of around 115,000 members of the dental team, including over 42,000 dentists and 73,000 dental care professionals (DCPs) - dental nurses, clinical dental technicians, dental hygienists, dental technicians, dental therapists, and orthodontic therapists. The GDC is looking to appoint a suitably qualified supplier to provide a broad a range of alcohol and drug testing services for dental professionals as and when required across the whole of the UK. The Contract will be awarded for a duration of 3 years with the option to extend for two further one-year periods subject to satisfactory performance reviews. The result of any testing and analysis report will be relied upon to support decision making at Practice Committee(s), Interim Order Committee hearings and decision making by case examiners dealing with agreed undertakings. Access Code : 56YB4YXK35 Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. The Contract will commence on 9 December 2022 and will run for up to three years from the Commencement Date. The GDC has the option to extend the duration of the Contract by up to two years. In any event the total contract value will not exceed £177K exclusive of VAT or £213K including VAT. The contract will automatically terminate on either the expiry date or on reaching the maximum Contract value, whichever occurs first
